Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) special flight took off from the island of Bali to Ukraine. On May 19, 2020, a total of 180 passengers plus 6 infants, including 174 Ukrainian, 3 Russian, 2 Moldovan, and 1 Kazakh flew on an evacuation commercial flight of UIA from Denpasar to Kyiv.
Following the massive flight cancellation due to the novel coronavirus and the closing of incoming air traffic in Ukraine to prevent the spread of COVID-19, dozens of Ukrainians on vacation abroad stranded in Bali. The candidate for the post of Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Bali, Mr. I Nyoman Astama provided all the possible assistance for Ukrainian citizens who have been stuck in the island of resorts and helped with an organization and implementation of the task of repatriating Ukrainian citizens. Mr. Astama with his assistant Mr. M. Permana Juda Pratama has gone to the airport to smooth the check-in process on the special flight and make sure that all the evacuation regulations are followed.

The Candidate for the post of Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Bali provided help in negotiation with commercial airlines, i.e., Bali Manager of Qatar Airways for providing the repatriation of Ukrainian citizens.
